“Group” claims to be acting on behalf of a lottery sweepstakes in which I have won $100,000.00. In their mailed notice they enclosed a fairly legitimate looking check for me to cash for $2550.00, stating I must call them in order to “activate my winnings”, then immediately wire (Western Union) them monies for processing the winnings. I told them I coincidently was with the attorneys office and the woman immediately hung up the phone. The routing number on the check is obviously invalid and the bank the check was written against does not exist.. I demand elderly consumers need to do homework before responding to any winnings.. Stay away
