Terrible and misleading customer service policy. I bought a Residential Irrigation pump from Essential Hardware. When the pump did not meet the performance and product performance spec’s that were publicized, I called for a Return Authorization. At the same time, I purchased ANOTHER, LARGER, MORE EXPENSIVE model. I was given an RMA # for the return, and advised that I would be responsible for the return freight, (understandable), and I would get a full refund once my return was received within the 30 day written policy. I just received notification that my return was received…..and……I was charged a 15% restocking fee! I bought a product based on it’s published specifications. The product didn’t perform to it’s specifications. I bought a larger, more expensive model, from Essential Hardware. I returned the underperforming model, within the stated 30 day policy, at my expense. I get charged a 15% restocking charge. Not the type of customer service that one should expect. Will not buy from Essential Hardware again. Suggest that others consider this before buying from them.
